Yes i know im years late but i only really got into ftl a year ago and i finally feel ive played it enough to create my own weapon tiers. Halberd beam and leto is an awful awful starting arsenal good for sector 1 2 if youre lucky. Starting weapons can only be found aboard the ship that has them i include crystal weapons because getting to the crystal sector to buy them is an extremely rare and difficult. The one exception in amazing tier would be the pike beam and thats because its fairly easy to get something to break through shields and the trade off is immense. If this tier list were based on my experiences the zoltan a would be lower than the slug b.
